Keys To An Achievable Outcome - Joseph Clough NLP Trainings

Keys To An Achievable Outcome

The Keys To An Achievable Outcome in NLP is a great way of getting realy clear and specific in getting to achieve your goals and outcome.

It take the thoughts we may have about goals into a way that really makes them achievable. On the NLP Practitioner training courses we run, we really teach you how to use and apply the following.

First of all you have to know your outcome, let’s say it’s to be an NLP practitioner, working with clients, transforming lives and making good money from it.

Now you know your outcome and the steps in how to achieve it, let’s go to the keys to an achievable outcome.

First of all, you think and state exactly what you want in the positive.

So what specifically do you want? And write this down.

..................................................................

Then, we’ve got to specify the present situation.

So where are you now in terms to achieving your goal? Write this down

.....................................................................

This sets the distance between your goal and your present situation. You then know where you are and you know where you’re going.

Then we’ve got to be more specific in achieving our outcomes.

So what will you be seeing, what will you be hearing and what will you be feeling when you have this outcome of yours? Whether it is around your health, relationships, career or finances. Think about it right now.

What would you be seeing? How would you know you’ve got this outcome? What would you be hearing? What would you be feeling?

Write this down

.................................................................... Then when you think of that picture, that feeling, that sound, make it bigger, brighter and more intense. Make the feelings expand inside your awareness, allow that picture to grow really big and be really associated (looking through your own eyes) inside that picture, and allow that internal self talk to really build you up having achieved the outcome.

Then we’ve got to find out what your evidence/convincer that you achieved your outcome - so you know, you’ve got it.

How will you know when you have this outcome? Write this down.

................................................................... This will tell you that you’ve achieved your outcome. When I got into the self development field, there were times when I didn’t ask for their evidence procedure (How they will know that they’ve got their result). I’d ring them back two weeks later after a session and say, “Did you get your outcome?”

And sometimes they’ll say, “Well no, I didn’t.” And then I’d look back over my notes and I would say, “Well did you get this outcome, did you get that outcome?” And then they’d say, “Well yes I did get that.” But because I didn’t clarify their evidence procedure to know that they achieved their goal, they just didn’t realise their own success. So it’s very important that you know once you’ve achieved it and how you know you’ll know.

Then, is it congruently desirable with you? Write this down

........................................................

What will this outcome get for you and allow you to do? Write this down

........................................................

So for what purpose do you want this outcome? Write this down

...........................................................

Is it good for yourself, is it good for your environment, is it good for others? Write this down

........................................................... The more that it is good for yourself, others and the people around you, the more beneficial that outcome will be and therefore be manifested into your life.

Is it self-initiated and self-maintained by you?

We’ve got to make sure that you initiate it, that you’re the goal-getter.

When, where, how and with whom do you want it? Write this down

.............................................................. So where do you want this outcome in your life? When do you want it?

Maybe tomorrow, maybe next week. Obviously it’s got to be a smart goal – specific, measurable, achievable, realistic (but who defines realistic?) and Time involved. So where do you want it? When do you want it? How would you like it to happen? And with whom do you want it?

And then do you need any resources? Write this down

..............................................................

What do you have now and what do you need to get this outcome?

Write this down

..............................................................

Have you ever had or done this before? Write this down

..............................................................

Do you know anyone who has so you can begin to model them? Write this down

.............................................................. Can you act as if you have it right now? Write this down

..............................................................

Once again, we’ve got to make sure it’s really ecological. And these following questions will be able to change how you perceive the outcome.

Even if it may confuse you.

So for what purpose do you want this? Write this down

..............................................................

What will you gain or lose if you get this outcome? Write this down

..............................................................

What will happen if you get it? Write this down

..............................................................

What won’t happen if you get it? Write this down

..............................................................

And then the final two which will really begin to shift your viewpoints,

What will happen if you don’t get it? Write this down

..............................................................

We’re really setting up the boundaries here, the real context of the situation.

And the last one:

What won’t happen if you don’t get it? Write this down

..............................................................

So these are the keys to achieving your outcomes. You can go over this any time you wish to really make sure that you’re aligned with your outcomes. Usually people just have thoughts or feelings about their outcome but they don’t know the real context of the situation, they don’t know how they want it to happen or when they want it to happen. By writing this down or just thinking in this way, you can begin to get a clear image in your mind in how you’re going to achieve your outcomes. “The time is always right to do what is right.”
